TU Tuesday

"Our world is constantly in flux.” Nuance (in meaning) = sensibility to, awareness of, or ability to express delicate shadings (as of meaning, feeling, or value) for example, flux means constantly in motion.

"Recognizable objects blend with colors and forms to create a feeling of chaos — a world upended as if seen from inside a tornado". Metaphor= a figure of speech in which a word or phrase literally denoting one kind of object or idea is used in place of another to suggest a likeness or analogy between them

"Relating heating and cooling systems". Antonym= a word of opposite meaning

Within the article, “Works by Gina Occhiogrosso, Kathleen Thum, Cein Watson on exhibit in Art Center's 'Flux', written by Amy Griffin the figurative language is mostly used explain the paintings that are found within the exhibit. The figurative language is used to deeply express the meaning of the paintings, to get inside the artists mind and give viewers an idea of the piece.
